West Linn National Team Wins 2nd Tournament In a Row!

Minson’s Senior National team had another great weekend at the Sherwood Tournament this past weekend winning their 2^{nd tournament in a row. Once again the opposing teams could not touch the pitching of Taylor Kraig, Peter McCoid and Jackson Darke. Behind the plate Nathan Minson and Charlie Stapleton created a huge wall. The Lions hit exceptionally well with big hits by Daniel Barchini, Sean Borne, David Glaess, Joe Cozzi, and Kyle Larsen. The base running was exceptional, and the boys were very aggressive. West Linn was able to beat Tigard and Reedville to advance onto the Championship brackets.}

West Linn National Team Claims Canby Tournament

West Linn's Senior National team coached by Andrew Minson claimed the title this weekend in Canby Oregon with a win over Camas 8-6 in 7 innings. Throughout the weekend the team had strong pitching from Taylor Kraig, Peter McCoid, and Jackson Darke. The scored stayed pretty much the same until the sixth inning when Taylor Kraig hit a huge 2 run triple to bring the score to 6-2. Going into the 7th inning was a nail biter. Camas was hitting the ball well and brought in 4 more runs to bring the score to 8-6 with the tying run on 2nd base, but Peter McCoid would have none of that. The last play of the game was made by Sean Borne who caught a fly ball at 2nd base, and gave West Linn the victory.
