Bambino League: All players should register at the division for their grade level

* The Bambino season will start after Spring Break. The fields we use include Mary S. Young, Willamette Elementary, Cedar Oak, Hammerle, Stafford and Oppenlander. The season will run through early June. ALL Bambino players will not be able to "play up". Playing up will occure in Cal Ripken based on tryouts.*

T-Ball:

Our introductory level is for players in Pre-K & Kindergarten. Here, players learn the basics of baseball in a fun and supportive team environment. Players hit from a tee which is height adjusted for a level swing when batting and are rotated throughout every position on the field when on defense. At this level, there are usually 2-3 activities per week (typically 2 practices during the week and 1 game on Sat) which all last about 60 minutes per activity and no score is kept during the games. Sluggers:

The second level of the Bambino program is designed for players in 1st grade. This level plays much like tee-ball except now our players face coach pitching from about 20 feet away. Our coaches sit on one knee and give the players five pitches to make contact, if no contact is made, the player will then hit off the tee. In Sluggers, there are 2-3 activities per week (typically 2 practices during the week and 1 game on Sat) which last 75 minutes each and no score is kept during the games. Rookie:

The most advanced level of the Bambino program is for players in 2nd grade. At this level, batters face a pitching machine which is set to 40mph and is set 42 feet away from home plate. Players are given 5 chances to hit the ball, if no contact is made, the batter is "out." In this level there are 2-3 activities per week (typically 2 practices during the week and 1 game on Sat) which last 90 minutes each. Again, no score is kept during the games.
